Coin Gonchar 5 hryvnias 2010

The obverse of the coin features: at the top the small State Emblem of Ukraine, under which is a stylized inscription - NATIONAL/BANK/UKRAINE, in the center - a stylized image of two birds, on the left and right - pottery, at the bottom - the inscriptions: 5/HRYVEN'/2010 and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. The reverse of the coin depicts a potter at work. At the top on a stylized background is the inscription POTTER, on both sides of the central composition - decorative flowers.

Dedicated to one of the important types of economic activity and artistic culture of Ukrainians - pottery, which for many centuries occupied one of the leading places among peasant crafts and absorbed technical skills and artistic traditions that have existed since Neolithic times.
